Baseball Around The Clock
Hustle and Mindset

The expectation of each member of the team is absolute hustle.  Hustle is something everyone is capable of and it is the minimum requirement for every single member of the team.  To hustle means you sprint out every ground ball, you touch second base on every fly ball, and you sprint on and off the field between innings.  As a team we will be better due to hustle.  This will be ingrained into each member of the team and it will become natural to each and every member of the team because it will be impressed upon each person every day.

The culture of this team will become hustle, it will be the one word other teams can use to define us.  We will play smart, we will execute the fundamentals, and we will out work every team we play.  A win is more satisfying when you have put time and maximum energy into the preparation for the game.  The more invested we are into each game the more that game will mean, and that is why we are going to push ourselves past what we think we can mentally and physically achieve each day.

We will respect our opponents because they too have put in the work, and they too want to win the game.  The team we are playing has prepared to beat us the way we have prepared to beat them and that means we have to show up on game day with passion and excitement for the challenge we are about to embark upon.  From the time we step foot on the field until the time the last out is recorded we will go as hard as we possibly can.  If we play the game this way and leave everything on the field we will be able to look at each other at the end of the game and live with whatever result comes our way.

Loses will not be punished with running or yelling and screaming because the loss is going to be punishment enough.  You will have worked so hard for so long and we will prepare and play each game with such a passion and focus that losing will not be an option.  It is only when each individual reaches this point physically and mentally can this team approach greatness.  Wins will not be excessively celebrated because we will have prepared ourselves for each competition to the point winning is expected, therefore we will be able to move onto the next game with a clear and open focus about the task at hand.

Each and every member of the team must be willing to give one hundred percent mental and physical effort during each practice, weight session, and game in order for us as a team to accomplish the lofty goals great teams set.  The number one way to achieve this style of play is through constant hustle.
