Baseball Around The Clock
6-4-3: Overhand Toss

When the ball is hit to your right side you are going to use a harder throw so the ball can get to the second baseman faster.  This is one of the few times I want you to field the ball and plant your feet.  You will not move toward the bag on this play.

Moving to your right get the ball to the middle of your body and set up to field it.  Now that you have the ball in your glove all you are going to do is rotate your hips and feet so they are pointing toward second base.  Also, on this play you are going to use a small arm action.  Instead of making the big arm circle as you rotate your lower half bring the ball directly up slightly above your shoulder right behind your ear.  Now that you are squared up to the base deliver the ball with a firm throw to the chest of the second baseman.

Key to this play:

You make this play in one fluid motion.  Your arm is coming up while you are rotating your hips in order to deliver the ball quickly and efficiently.

Small arm action on both ends of the throw, do not make a big arm circle and do not use a big follow through.
